The Chicago Center for Contemporary Composition is a dynamic, collaborative, and interdisciplinary environment for the creation, performance, and study of new music at the University of Chicago. The Center brings exemplary professional and student composers and professional artists together to create and present innovative contemporary music. The CCCC presents an annual concert series featuring performances of world premiere works by the resident Grossman Ensemble, a supergroup of Chicago’s contemporary musicians with a unique creative rehearsal process focused on the interaction between composers, musicians, and conductors.

The 2023/24 season will also feature a performance by the TAK Ensemble on April 21, 2024, and CHIMEFest, an annual celebration of electroacoustic music produced by the CHIME Studio at the University of Chicago. CHIMEFest events will take place at the Logan Center Penthouse on February 2 and April 12, 2024, and will highlight UChicago composers as well as other leading figures in electronic and electroacoustic music.
