Saint-Saëns: Carnival of the Animals

Lauded as an “insightful, energetic soloist” by The New York Times, Montrose Trio pianist Jon Kimura Parker’s creative talent extends far beyond the concert stage. As Creative Partner for the Minnesota Orchestra’s Summer at Orchestra Hall, Artistic Advisor for the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, and faculty at the Shepherd School of Music, he brings the charisma, infectious enthusiasm, and dynamism he displays in performance to his talks on music and the programs he curates. In this watch party, Parker shares behind-the-scenes commentary on previously un-released recordings of works by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Alexina Louie, Rebecca Clarke, and Camille Saint-Saëns.

Following the watch party, Parker hosts an exclusive digital reception with UChicago Presents’ audiences (spots limited).
